In an interview with Jovem Pan, New House leader Marcel Van Hattem adopted an optimistic speech regarding the approval of a Draft Constitutional Amendment (PEC 410) meeting in Constitution, Justice and Citizen Commission (CCJ) of Brazilian House authorizing the arrest of the convicted in the second instance.
According to him, already projecting the analysis of the proposal in the plenary of the House, the 308 votes needed to approve the constitutional change are close to being obtained.
“From what we saw on the second instance map, I now don't remember the exact number, but the minimum 308 [votes] in case of PEC are close to being reached. In the Constitution, Justice and Citizen Commission (CCJ) itself, the majority is already a fait accompli, ”said the MP.
"I think it is important that there is this social pressure so that there is actually a faster conviction of parliamentarians who are undecided today to vote in favor of imprisioment after conviction in the second instance," Van Hattem continued.
“After the virtuous cycle of anti-corruption ended by the vote in the STF, with several corrupt ones being released, we must resume the end of impunity in Brazil, which has done so well for our country.”

Em entrevista à Jovem Pan, o líder do Novo na Câmara, Marcel Van Hattem, adotou um discurso otimista em relação à aprovação de uma PEC que autorize a prisão dos condenados em segunda instância.
Segundo ele, já projetando a análise da proposta no plenário da Câmara, os 308 votos necessários para a aprovação da mudança constitucional estão próximos de ser obtidos.
“Pelo que a gente viu no mapa da segunda instância, eu agora não lembro o número exato, mas os 308 [votos] mínimos em caso de PEC estão perto de ser alcançados. Na própria CCJ, a maioria também já é fato consumado”, afirmou o parlamentar.
“Acho que é importante que haja essa pressão social para que realmente haja um convencimento mais rápido dos parlamentares que hoje estão indecisos para que votem a favor da prisão após condenação em segunda instância”, prosseguiu Van Hattem.
Ele disse também:
“Depois do ciclo virtuoso de combate à corrupção encerrado pela votação no STF, com vários corruptos sendo soltos, é preciso que a gente retome o fim da impunidade no Brasil, que tanto bem fez ao nosso país.”
